It is with great joy that I can confirm that both eggs have hatched! The 1st hatched on 7th June & 2nd on 9th. XL could clearly be seen feeding both chicks last night, one on either side of her.
M has brought good sized brown trout & taken them directly to the nest. Most surprising of all has been the manner in which M has taken part! He has stayed on the nest with each fish & not only has he fed the chicks but he has also fed XL.
The images below are from yesterday but behaviour has continued today. Following the horrific weather the spring has thrown at many nests this year, XL & M have amazed me yet again so hoping for some improvements soon for all nests & a dry day!!
